Management of Wild Roe Deer on the Lartington Estate
Wild Roe Deer are an important and valued part of England’s Natural Heritage but at the same time their numbers need controlling through a management programme so that they don’t have a negative impact on the landscape especially in our young immature plantations of native deciduous trees. They are also delicious to eat, meat which is free range, additive free and low in fat.
Rules at Lartington Hall Park is committed to ensuring a healthy herd, with the right balance between Bucks & Does as a key element in our rich landscape.
